Why do I keep getting disconnected from the internet right after logging in to Second Life?

I log in to Second Life and it loads everything (environment & avatar) just fine, but I cannot move or teleport anywhere. My internet has disconnected and refuses to reconnect while I have SL running, I have to exit out of the game before I can reconnect and that takes a couple minutes.This never happens with any of my other online games nor does it ever happen while surfing the web. Why does this ONLY happen right after I log in to SL? Please serious answers only. I have invested a years worth into this game and spent a ton of money on it.
