Am I still under contract?

Ok, so I was recently laid off from my job, and I wasn't able to pay my rent this month. I told my apartment complex landlord my situation and she said she can give me extra days to pay for it with the late fees added, but I told her I probably still won't have the amount on time, so she suggested that, she won't take me to court, but I do have 5 days to vacate the complex. Now I'm confused, because I'm not sure if I can pay the complex everything and move back in or my contract is still active or what, I'm also going to the complex tomorrow to straighten everything out. I just want to know has anyone else went though a situation like this?
