Should I wear it just to make him happy?

my fiance got me a necklace that I do not particuarly like, it's yellow gold, and I just don't like the design, it is a heart, with "love" inscribed in the center, with diamond accents. It's OKAY, but not my style, at the same time I don't want to hurt his feelings by not wearing it. I told him before I don't like yellow gold, so I don't even know why he bought it, should I be really mad or am I overreacting?
