I was hit by an uninsured motorist on my motorcycle what do I do?

I was hit on 04/22/10 my way to work by a Honda Accord. I was taken to the hospital for treatment. I had a broken hand and both knees are severely damaged. I have been in Physical Therapy for a month or so and still have to get surgery on my knee. My bike was totaled. The guy that hit me gave the police a Geico insurance policy however it was not covered according to Geico. I hired an attorney but he dropped the case saying there is nothing he can do for me. Does anyone know what I can do?
