222 People were still segergated right? Many fear the unknown. People in the town were belieiving lies and asume the worst about another. Black people in the novel are deemed and seen as slaves still and back then alot people thought their race was superior to others. What happens to negroes in the book happened to witches or women accused of witchcraft with no proof only a word from rumors. Their mind gives them the worst illusion and is a force that is easily swayed of changed. They start out with little things but gain more of their racism... I can't say anything else my mind is blank.............................
