Friend in coma- help me with what to do...?

This is a very sad situation. Your friend has a traumatic brain injury (TBI) & a spinal cord injury (SCI). He is no longer in a coma, but obviously has some significant deficits from his injuries. It is very hard to know how much he will recover, but it doesn't sound at all optimistic. It is common for people to be transferred to either a rehablitation hospital or a nursing home for rehab. Some nursing homes specialize in this, but generally a rehab hospital would be more likely to offer state of the art therapy.
